Creative Workshops

A Hands-On Experience that Nourishes Your Soul

Sometimes we need a break from the “Real World”, and some space away from the chatter in our minds. We may know that having a Creative Practice is ideal, but so many of us just don’t have the time, space, or materials… not to mention knowing where to start!

Creative Workshops with Rather Be Creative are the perfect way to…

  • spend a little time reconnecting with your Creative Self,

  • soften the overwhelming chatter in your mind,

  • find a little calm for your soul as you navigate the busy holiday and tourist season,

  • enjoy the company of friends and receive a little direction and instruction that helps you…

  • make some really cool projects that you are proud to share with friends and family!

This year we bring you a NEW Workshop Option: Beach Cards!

We all know and love this classic landscape… Take Me To The Beach! In this workshop, you’ll be guided through the steps of making not just one, but 4 Greeting Cards. You get to take some of the beach home with you, and be able to send some to a friend 🤗. The extra bonus is that these handmade greeting cards are also the perfect size to fit into a photo frame, so you’re making beautiful Art to share with loved ones too!

The Classic Holiday Workshop: Glitter Ornaments!

Making Glitter Ornaments has now become a tradition for Rather Be Creative. Typically, I make a few hundred of these beauties and sell them year-round in local shops on Anna Maria Island. Teaching people how to glitter and then coaching them on painting their own masterpieces is the part that I look forward to most when it comes to this project. My ornaments for sale look different this year, but this workshop is still the most fun. This is the perfect way to add a little sparkle to your holidays without bringing home shit-tons of glitter and watching it take over your house. You also make 2 ornaments - one to give and one to keep! I have tutorials, examples, samples and even templates to help you create the most gorgeous ornament on your tree (or hang year round… they’re really that pretty!)
