The Tarpon are the largely prized (and protected) big sport fish here in SW Florida. They earn their “Silver King” crown with the armor of silver scales that protect their massive size. A sight to behold from a distance and up close, and a highly sought after fight to land them. As an artist, I love them for the iridescence and rainbow of colors I see in their scales, their defining jaw line and piercing eyes.
