Weekly Creative Play

Be Creative Sessions are all about playing with the materials to exercise the part of your brain that comes up with ideas. From starting with blank piece of watercolor paper to adding a few layers to older pieces, we used my watercolor paints, black and gold acrylic paint markers, acrylic paint, oil pastels, brushes, sticks and even my fingers.

Today I surprised myself by picking up our chalk pastels to explore a little on top of some previous paintings. My intention was to work on the watercolors we did last week in Art Session 11, and I did play around a little with the pumpkins but I also worked on some other things. I was really digging how the pastels were feeling on top of the acrylic paint we scraped around. I ended up finishing a little landscape on one piece that I might just frame to gift to someone. Be sure to bring a few old unfinished paintings to this session, but even if you don't have anything to work on top of, I hope you can still enjoy exploring some materials with us for a little Creative Practice.
